Improvement in Women Golf Clubs
More research and product development for women golf clubs have been made by the major golf equipment manufacturers in the last few years. Callaway, TaylorMade andPing have introduced new clubs for women.
These clubs have been designed for golfers with slower swing speeds. The availability of women clubs has grown greatly. Woods are lighter for faster swing speeds and more distance. Some clubs are designed for variable heights of the players.
The new irons are light and easy to control. Most women players replace the #3 and 4 irons with the #5, 7 or 9 woods. The bottom of these wood heads glide easier for better contact and straighter shots. These woods are longer than the #3 or 4 irons and create more speed and consequently more distance.
The TaylorMade Miscela Irons are an example of these new clubs. A 10 piece set includes a driver, #3 to 6 woods, #7, 8, 9 irons, a pitching and sand wedge. The club shafts are lightweight graphite. Price is about $450.
