Wear Golf Gloves to get
a secure Grip on the Golf Club

Golf gloves will help you keep a firm grip on the club and can help improve your game. Right handed players wear the glove on the left hand, because the fingers and the palm rest fully around the grip.

Most gloves are now made from synthetic leather. The more expensive ones use premium real leather. Some styles have the palm and thumb areas made of leather for an enhanced feel.

Some glove manufacturers say that synthetic gloves perform better than leather in wet weather. For the average golfer synthetic models will do the job. Price is about $11-20.

If you play a lot of golf, it is advisable to have 2 or 3 gloves in your bag and change them regularly. This will give the glove a chance to dry out before you use it again. Also, if you play in wet weather, the glove won't stay dry for the whole round and you can use an alternate.

Golfers who play in colder temperatures, might want to use winter gloves.

The major glove manufacturers are FootJoy, Nike, Etonic, Titleist and Callaway.
